Welcome to Faliraki

One of the most famous resort areas in Rhodes, with the friendly character that makes Greek holidays feel relaxed and personal

Faliraki is a seaside resort on the east coast of the island of Rhodes, known for its long golden sandy beach, clear blue water, and lively yet welcoming holiday atmosphere. It is one of the most famous resort areas in Rhodes, but it still keeps the nice friendly character that makes Greek holidays feel relaxed and personal.

Many guests head to Faliraki for Faliraki Beach, the resort’s main beach, but they quickly discover that Faliraki as an area offers much more than one stretch of sand. Once a small fishing and farming community, Faliraki has become one of the most cosmopolitan beach resorts on Rhodes, attracting couples, friends, and families from all over Europe.

Today, Faliraki combines classic Greek hospitality with a full range of modern holiday facilities, from the Water Park and boat trips to traditional tavernas, beach bars, shopping, and vibrant nightlife. For many travelers, the word Faliraki still brings to mind summer fun, but Faliraki is no longer only a nightlife destination. It is now a complete seaside base for anyone who wants to enjoy Faliraki or even Rhodes more widely.

The Setting

Where the Aegean meets the east coast of Rhodes

Faliraki sits on the sheltered east coast of Rhodes, roughly 16 kilometres south of the island's international airport and 14 kilometres from the UNESCO-listed Old Town. Once a sleepy fishing bay, it has grown into a relaxed, family-friendly beach town — long sandy shores, crystal-clear swimming, and a strip of waterfront tavernas backed by a quiet residential grid.

Stay Helios is tucked into that quieter side: a short walk from the sand, a bus ride from the medieval city, and close enough to the airport that you can be poolside within half an hour of landing.

Where to Stay in Faliraki

Why Stay Helios is the right address for your Rhodes holiday

Faliraki has no shortage of places to sleep — large all-inclusive resorts on the beach, adults-only properties, family hotels, apartments, villas, and everything in between. The choice can be overwhelming. Stay Helios was designed for guests who want the convenience of a Faliraki base without the scale of a mega-resort.

We’re a small, owner-run property tucked into a quiet residential street, two minutes on foot from the sand and ten minutes from the centre of Faliraki. Close enough to walk to dinner, far enough that you wake up to birdsong instead of traffic. The bus stop sits at our door, on-site car and bike rental is available whenever you want to explore at your own pace, and our team knows the island the way only people who live here can.

Here’s how Stay Helios answers the questions guests usually ask when comparing Faliraki hotels:

Close to Faliraki Beach?

Two minutes to the nearest sand. Faliraki's main beach is a ten-minute stroll, and Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko, and Kathara Beach are all within walking distance.

Peaceful area, or quick access to Bar Street?

Both. We're set back from the noise on a calm residential street, but Bar Street and the harbour are a short, walkable distance — close enough to join in, far enough to sleep soundly. Drag

Family rooms, a pool, or a romantic setting?

All of the above. Our suites and junior suites with private pools work beautifully for couples; our garden-view twin rooms and family-friendly setup welcome travellers with kids; and the quiet street suits anyone who values rest.

Boutique stay or all-inclusive resort?

Boutique, intentionally. We've kept the property small so we can look after each guest personally, recommending a beach for the day, arranging an airport transfer, or pointing you to the taverna locals actually eat at.

For couples planning a slow Aegean break, families looking for a calm base with the beach within reach, or independent travellers who want the freedom of a car and the warmth of a small Greek hotel, Stay Helios is built for the way you actually want to spend your holiday in Rhodes.
